Frederick III of Denmark declared war on Sweden. This opened another front, with Denmark and the Commonwealth opposing the same enemy.¹

Frederick III declared war on Sweden in accordance with the alliance. Charles X Gustav now had to reckon with a Danish front as well; Commonwealth troops under Czarniecki later joined the campaign in Denmark.¹²
